It is critical that the local government operate in a way that is open and easy for residents to understand. As Trustee, Dan will strive to improve communication with the public. In addition to the minutes that are already put on the Village site, Dan would push for posting videos of meetings online. The Livingston County Board of Supervisors already has such a system in place.

8,000 people call Geneseo home. It is our duty to help them when they need it most. Geneseo has about 250 fire calls and 1700 medical calls each year. Dan's fire department experience will help him provide oversight, making sure that our money is spent responsibly and our services are as great as they can be.

While the core of the village has a cohesive sidewalk network, many other parts of the village lack alternatives to driving. Many village residents do not have a car, and many others would walk or bike if they felt safe. In December 2024, a village resident was hit and critically injured while crossing NY 20A to get to Community Bank. I was an EMT on this call, and it affected me deeply because he was only trying to live his life in an environment that wasn't built for him.
